Name: Nathaniel
Title/Nicknames: Nate, Nathan, Youngster, That Kid Who Constantly Screws Up, and What's His Face have all been used enough that he answers to them almost automatically.
Gender: Male
Age: Looks about 19, though in all honesty, he's lost track of just how old he is.
Canon or Original Character: Original Character
Home Universe: Supernatural
Species: Fallen angel
Sexuality: Straight
Physical Description: Nathaniel stands at 6'1", with shaggy blonde hair, somewhat pale skin, and a brown eye color that can seem dark enough to be black or light enough to have hints of gold depending on the lighting. There are various scars that have been accumulated over time, though most go unnoticed unless specifically looked for.
His clothes are tattered and worn from a lack of really changing his wardrobe: ragged jeans, scuffed shoes, a dirty, stained undershirt, and a short sleeved button-up shirt.
Personality: Nathaniel, at least to humans, comes off as odd. He doesn't always understand things and needs to have an explanation. Sometimes his manner of speaking would confuse humans he tried to speak to, and so he has adopted their slang terms and mannerisms in an attempt to blend in, though he uses many phrases in the wrong context. (Which many humans have written off as the current teenagers to be strange, so what did it matter if some kid was raising the bar a little for the rest of them? It didn't.)
He also feels a sort of pull in himself to try to do the right thing, even if the means are a little questionable. Especially since his fall, Nathaniel is reluctant to take orders and will find himself doubting the orders, even if they seem completely sound. Just one of his little 'quirks', as he's come to refer to them, that he's gained since loosing the majority of his angelic powers. To most he's encountered, he's written off as some new-aged rebellious punk. Nathaniel has yet to understand what these people are calling him.
Mental Conditions: None.
Powers: Limited transportation/teleportation.
Background: Angels had been warriors of the Lord. They were soldiers. Nathaniel knew that. He obeyed for a long time, fulfilling his orders which mostly seemed to consist of doing things "behind the scenes." It was mostly because he was one of the youngest of the angels; a baby in comparison to some of them, really. Young and naive, which turned out to be less than desirable traits. Although, in one of his last missions, he'd been granted permission to take a vessel, which was that of a nineteen year old who, as was required, had agreed to give his body over to the angel of his free will. He'd started doing some of the leg-work on earth; trying to keep the balance, fighting demons when it was necessary.
He hadn't meant to fall at all.
But then it seemed as though Father was missing, and Nathaniel couldn't hold to the same feelings of obedience. He started asking questions. The next thing Nathaniel knew, he was loosing his angelic powers, his grace was dwindling; he was falling. He was next to human. He could still manage to transport himself from place to place, but it took a lot out of him and it was easier just to walk, run, try to catch a bus. He only resorts to teleportation when it's an absolute must. This is a constant irritant to him, since he remembers everything before his fall and so knows exactly everything he has lost.
It was a short time after his fall that Nathaniel realized he wasn't in quite the same earth as he had known. He didn't know how he'd ended up in what he was considering another sort of dimension; he couldn't even place his finger on what it was that was different. It just was.
